If you encounter any technical problems while using your account on Socialise please contact support@socialise.biz for assistance.

Can someone register on the site with my username and pretend to be me?

No. Once a username has been registered it is not available to other users.

I think I've been banned by mistake. Who do I contact about this?

Email support@socialise.biz for any enquiries relating to this.

How do I change My Password?

Just click on 'Change My Password' - then you can change Your Password easily. NEVER change your password to something someone else has given you.

Can I change the email address on My Account?

If at any time you decide to change your email address you are encouraged to update your Socialise account details. Go to 'My Account Details' on your menu and change the email address listed on the form.

Once you have updated your email address Socialise will automatically send an email to your new address. The purpose of this email is to verify your email to ensure that you have filled out the address correctly. Simply click on the link within the email to complete the process.

What is Address Confirmation?

Address Confirmation is a service we provide for all members to take advantage of our added safety features.

If you elect to become Address Confirmed, simply go to 'My Account Details', click on 'Address Confirmation' and fill out your address details. Once the Socialise staff have received your request we will send out a letter to the address you supplied. Inside the letter you will find a code. To complete the process, enter this code into the 'Address Confirmation Code' box in the 'My Account Details' section.

Can I change my registered Username?

For safety reasons, users are unable to change their registered usernames.

How do I top up My Account?

Simply go to 'Account Details' on the members' menu and click on 'Top Up My Account'. Then follow the easy instructions and fill out all of the required fields on our credit card form.

My Profile

How do I tell people a little more about myself?

The best way to let people know about you is to go into the 'My Profile' section off the main menu. Here you can configure your profile so that people can read about you, plus it allows others to search for answers about you when viewing your profile. Once youve filled out all the profile questions you wish to answer, make sure to click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the page.

How can I upload a photo to My Profile?

Socialise members can upload up to 5 images to their profile. From the members' menu, go to 'My Profile' and then click on 'My Photos'. After you have followed the instructions and uploaded your images, click the 'Main Photo' button next to the image you would like displayed to users in the chat rooms.

Why has My Profile photo been removed?

Our Terms and Conditions clearly state what is deemed to be an inappropriate image. If a member of our staff believes that you have breached our Terms and Conditions, they reserve the right to remove your image without consulting the user in question. If you wish to dispute this action, please contact support@socialise.biz

General

Are there any restrictions on becoming a Socialise member?

You must be 18 years or older to use the Socialise site. When you register to use Socialise, you agree that you are 18 years or over.

Why should I upgrade my membership?

Many of the areas in Socialise are available to paid members only.

Becoming a member allows you to become a part of a wide ranging online community where you can interact and form relationships with other site members.

Another great members only feature is in the Avatar Creator. While guests are permitted only to use standard Avatars, members can fully customise their Avatar to reflect their style, appearance and personality.

The ability to Rate a Date is another feature that allows users to give feeback to other members.

I've found a bug on the site. How do I report it?

The Socialise staff try to maintain consistently high quality on the site. If you find anything that is broken or out of place, please feel free to report it. Our forum has a special 'Bugs and Quirks' section which is checked daily by our staff. Your help is appreciated.

Alternatively use the 'contact us' button on your menu for more urgent issues.

I have emailed the Socialise staff, why hasn't my email been answered?

Socialise staff go to great lengths to read and respond to every email our members send us. Due to the volume of emails we receive it may not be possible to respond instantly. Please allow at least 48 hours for us to reply.

How should I behave on the Socialise site?

Like every responsible site, Socialise has a strict Etiquette guide – a code of conduct on how to behave on the site. Members who act outside the site's Etiquette are not welcome and may be banned. Read about the Socialise site Etiquette by clicking here

I want to advertise on the Socialise site. Who do I contact about this?

For any advertising enquiries contact marketing@socialise.biz

Safety

How do I make contact with other users safely?

The Socialise site allows you to keep in touch with your friends through instant messages and email - all without revealing your email address or mobile phone number. You'll need to send your friends a Friend Request before they appear on your friends list, and they have to accept the request.

Is it okay for me to give out my personal details?

You should never share your personal details with anyone on Socialise – members may not be who they say they are.

This is why we have created the email and messaging features on the site, so that you can email and message other members without knowing other members' details.

How do I report another user whilst I'm in a chat room?

The site is patrolled by friendly and professional members called moderators. They have special privileges that allow them to alert, kick and ban users who break the Terms and Conditions of the site. The moderators work hard to keep the site a safe and fun place to hang out. However if you cannot find anyone to report to, please email report@socialise.biz

I feel another user has acted inappropriately. How do I report this while I'm using the site?

If you feel another user's behaviour has breached our Terms and Conditions, email report@socialise.biz so that a moderator can look into the matter. The moderator may choose to contact you about further details on the incident before making a decision on your complaint.
